Shape to Fabrication (STF) is an Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Design focused conference, presenting innovative real world projects going beyond the theoretical. Focus is on proven application and evidence based project delivery.
Presenters at the conference represent an international field of Architects, Engineers, Designers, Fabricators and Software Developers, all working at the cutting-edge of their industries within AEC and Design.
The 9th iteration of Shape to Fabrication is presented in partnership with the School of Architecture and Cities, University of Westminster, and the 2-day conference is taking place at the Universities Marylebone Campus, London, on the 16th & 17th April 2025.

Our Shape to Fabrication 2025 Conference Moderators:

Arthur Mamou-Mani AA dipl, ARB/RIBA FRSA – is a Franco-British architect, and director of the award-winning architecture practice Mamou-Mani, specialising in a new kind of digitally designed and fabricated architecture. Arthur is a lecturer at the University of Westminster, and has given numerous talks around the world on “Eco-Parametric” architectural practice, including three TedX conferences in the U.S ,France and UK. A fellow of the Royal Society for Encouragement of the Arts Manufacture and Commerce, he has won the American Architecture prize, the RIBAj Rising Star Award and has recently been awarded the prestigious Pierre Cardin Prize for Architecture from the Academie des Beaux-Arts in France.

Martha Tsigkari is a Senior Partner and Head of the Applied R+D (ARD) group at Foster + Partners. Her background spans architecture, engineering, and computer science. She has two decades of experience working in projects of all scales and uses. Her work incorporates computational design, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and optimisation. She has investigated the usage of deep neural networks and genetic algorithms in the design process, aiming to solve problems ranging from passively actuated micromaterials to performance-driven urban layouts. She is also an Associate Professor at the Bartlett, UCL and has lectured and published on the subject of computational design internationally.

Manja van de Worp is the director of YIP Structural Engineering London (former NOUS engineering London), holding Master degrees in Architecture, Structural Engineering and in Emergent Technologies and Design. She is a structural engineer with over 17 years professional experience in the Construction Industry focusing on Structure Geometry and Fabrication, while teaching at the RCA & IAAC. She has worked for Arup in London in the Advanced Geometry Unit and at the Advanced Technology and Research group in ARUP, designing structures with a complex geometry and moveable structures. Manja Launched YIP in 2013 as an engineering consultancy bearing extensive knowledge of advanced structural analysis tools, complex structural systems, materials and fabrication technologies.

Miriam Dall’Igna is the London Digital Design Lead at Eckersley O’Callaghan, whose role encompasses all areas that leverage computing technology, utilising Digital Design as a problem-solving methodology for engineering and research. She is responsible for structuring, coordinating and delivering these technologies throughout Eckersley O’Callaghan’s London office and aligning advancements with EOC’s global Digital Design champions and global teams, to drive progress and tackle challenges. Alongside her professional practice, Miriam has been lecturing at the University of Westminster for over ten years, teaching computational design methods at the School of Architecture and Cities
