Sitting on the banks of the River Mersey, the new Everton Stadium is set to become the home of Everton FC and one of the most significant construction projects in the North-West of England. Built on a historic working dock, with a constrained site and complex logistics, the project demanded innovative thinking and smart workflows to make it a reality.

Nick and Toby will illustrate BDP Pattern’s computational approach to embed Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles into the stadium design, allowing 70% of the stadium to be fabricated off site. From the façade and roof to the seating bowl, they’ll share how fabrication-orientated computation played a critical role in shaping the project.
Importantly, how embedding parametric thinking across the studio's culture has allowed for deeper exploration of key construction challenges such as developing new approaches to Fire Safety.
